PM Narendra Modi Announced the Launch of 5G Services in India at India Mobile Congress
The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched 5G telecommunication services today at the inauguration ceremony of the India Mobile Congress which would be concluded on October 4. The 5G telecommunication services had aimed towards offering ultra-high-speed internet services on smartphones and alternative networking devices. The 5G launch event was even joined by three major telecom giants in India which were Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea. The three telecommunication operators had illustrated the use case each to indicate the potential of 5G technology in India within the coming months.

The Indian Mobile Congress had been conjointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and also the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). As soon as the Prime Minister had announced the launch of 5G services in India at the event, he had paid a visit to the pavilions which were set up by different telecommunication operators.
Starting with the Reliance Jio stall, he had witnessed the 5G virtual reality experience via the Jio Glass. Well, the Prime Minister had received additional tech demos at the stalls which were set up by the Airtel, Vodafone Idea, C-DOT, and others. Some alternative demos that might be illustrated in front of the Prime Minister at the exhibition which would involve precision drone-based farming, machine-driven guided vehicles and many more.
As per an official statement, '5G would be unleashing new economic opportunities and societal advantages, giving it the potential for being a transformational force for Indian society. It would facilitate the country leapfrog the standard barriers to development, spur innovations by startups and business enterprises which would advance the 'Digital India' vision.' Well, the experts have recommended that the Indian economy would possibly gain around Rs. 3,64,000 crore between 2023 and 2040, due to the advancements in 5G telecommunication services.
5G connectivity has been considered to be 10 times quicker than 4G. It could be believed that it could be capable of offering ultra-low latency and high-speed connections even in densely crowed areas. These options would greatly benefit solutions like e-health, increased reality, machine-driven vehicles, advanced mobile cloud gaming along with many more.
